About The Author

Kayla Vale is a Canadian fantasy author who writes stories threaded with compassion, quiet defiance, and the strength found in surviving what was never meant to break you. With a background in social work, sociology, philosophy, and psychology, and years spent supporting people with disabilities, she brings emotional depth and empathy to every world she creates.

Her experiences as a military spouse have deepened her understanding of sacrifice, loyalty, and the quiet ways people protect those they love. These themes appear throughout her work and inspire characters who live with courage even when no one is watching

Beyond writing, Kayla is also a photographer and the creator of the visual art featured on this site. She lives in Canada with her family and is currently at work on her debut epic fantasy book, The Threadless Path.
